The Doublewrap is a contemporary way to conquer the age old tradition of swaddling, it is designed to guide parents and carers with a numbered code to wrap their baby the same way every time. The fixed inner layer keeps baby securely wrapped minimising the effect of their "startle reflex". A baby when wrapped securely for sleep is more likely to settle into a dependable sleeping pattern that makes life more peaceful for all.
The Doublewrap was invented with an easy to follow code - to help new and often tired parents and carers wrap a baby consistently as a signal for sleep.
The baby should then sleep comfortably on their back with no fabric around their head or face, the preferred sleeping position advised by SIDS and KIDS.
The wrap is made of 100% cotton knit so it has stretch that allows it to comfortably mould to the baby's shape. It is wide and has an inner layer that helps it stay wrapped throughout the sleep period, and reduces the chance of the startle reflex from waking the baby. |

The 100% cotton knit is breathable and comfortable.

The outer layer is a decorative herringbone knit and the inner layer a combed cotton interlock.

The edging is also made from 100% combed cotton so it is soft and won't irritate baby's delicate skin.

The flocked transfer numbers are soft and permanently fixed to feel like part of the fabric.

The overall size of the wrap is 140cm wide by 60cm long it should comfortably fit most babies from birth up to the age of 10 months.

The Doublewrap is free from fittings and fixtures that could cause discomfort or make washing difficult.

SIMPLE METHOD
Place baby along the centre line with their shoulders on the top edge of the Doublewrap. Ensure the head and neck is always free from fabric.
Take the sections 1 to 4 in numerical order and wrap firmly across the body and under the baby, tugging gently to smooth the fabric out.
Depending on your preference, the fabric near the feet can be tucked under the baby or babies feet can be left free to breathe.

ALTERNATIVE METHOD
A very secure way to hold the arms by their side giving baby less chance to wriggle free. There is also less fabric across the body in case of very warm weather.
Place baby along the centreline with their shoulders on the top edge of the Doublewrap. Ensure the head and neck is always free from fabric.
Take section 1 and wrap firmly over babies right arm and under body, tugging gently to smooth the fabric out.
Take section 2 and wrap firmly over babies left arm and under the body, tugging gently to smooth the fabric out.
Proceed by taking section 3 and 4 firmly across the body and under the baby, tugging gently to smooth the fabric out.
Depending on your preference, the fabric near the feet can be tucked under the baby or babies feet can be left free to breathe. | |
