When I was pregnant with Ciarán I was very worried about what he was going to sleep on. I didn't know if he was a boy or a girl but I did know he was going to be arriving at least 8 weeks early. Knowing I was having another premature baby put added pressure on us, as to what mattress our baby was going to sleep on. Some research shows premature babies are at a greater risk of SIDS and SUDI. So to solve this worry the Save Our Sleep mattress range was born.
This range started with an organic cotton covered mini-crib mattress but has grown considerably to include various cot sizes, single and king single bed sizes and also a (non- organic) cotton covered option in some sizes. So now your babies and children are also able to sleep safely on the perfect mattress.
The cotton covered mattress has the same inner build as in springs however it has no lamb’s wool and a non-organic cotton cover which has a tiny bit of polyester for the warmth and to encourage the baby to sleep in the safe position of on his or her back. The organic cotton covered one has organic cotton fabric with a layer of lamb’s wool which I believe makes babies warmer and encourages them to sleep on their backs both mattresses are double sided. The organic cotton covered one is a much nicer mattress to look at and feel however it is not affordable to all and this is why I brought the non-organic one to my range. Having said that the non-organic one is still 100% better than anything else you will find on the market.
The Save Our Sleep mattresses are made locally to The Save Our Sleep HUB and Destination store. They are made in in Geelong, Victoria, Australia. Bringing manufacturing closer to home!
